Types of systems available :-
- Direct Heating:- Water gets heated inside the collector tubes and stored in the Hot water storage tank, after some time scaling gets started inside the collectors tubes and it needs periodical cleaning resulting heavy maintenance charges
- Indirect Heating:- water gets heated inside the hot water tank itself. Coolant is used as heating media between collectors and hot water storage tank. Coolant is anti scaling and anti freezing also. So no maintenance required at all.
- Non-Pressurized :- In case water supply is by gravity then normal tanks are proposed. A tank of pvc required on height at least 9 feet from roof level.
- Pressurized :- If cold water supply is pressurized then hot water supply should be pressurized, for this application pressurized solar systems are proposed.
- Thermosyphon:- Heating of water starts and stops automatically when sun shine come and goes off , no need of pump for circulation of heating from Solar collectors to hot water tank. (when space is not a problem)
- Forced Flow:- Pumps with D.T.C. (Differential Temperature Controllers) are used for circulation of heating from Solar collectors to hot water tank. This type of system is proposed where space is less or system is designed according to site requirements.
